Romantic Crazy Quilt 16.

5 designs for various hoops.

Convinced it was time for another quilt block, I decided to create a teapot around the elements in Chawton Gardens. The smaller block has been adjusted to fit the smaller hoop, so it is not identical. The larger block has an optional applique dragonfly which is prepared in advance on tulle using wash away stabiliser. The bee and ladybird are optional too! Each block can be embroidered with a teapot lid or without. If you are going to apply a fabric segment for the teapot rather than using the base fabric, you need to use the version without the teapot lid. I have made 2 videos about embroidering out this block.

Due to the nature of these blocks I do not advise resizing them as the quality will be compromised and some stitches may be lost causing gaps, which is why these designs are not available for smaller hoops.

Back the pieces of silk dupion before you begin with Heat and Bond Lite, or something similar, to prevent fraying.
