Romantic Crazy Stocking 2.

20 designs for various hoops

My second Romantic Crazy Quilt Stocking is much larger than the first, created in 10 hoopings with a 240mm x 150mm hoop (4 with a 300mm x 200mm hoop) on to base fabric. The finished stocking measures 650mm x 340mm (25.6" x 13.35"). The set of designs includes a robin, which can be stitched partially in Lana wool (optional), perfect for your Christmas cards. There is a detailed PDF on creating your stocking, how to attach each of the 13 segments of fabric and get accurate placing every time. Due to its size smaller hoops cannot accommodate the fabric pieces. A lace strip is made on tulle, cotton net or organza to finish off the widest join or any narrow lace can be used instead. Special Outline alignment stitches help postion each design accurately and it is advised that you print out a template of the stocking so that each section can be marked accurately on the base fabric. The template is contained in the zip file for easy printing.

Due to the nature of these designs I do not advise resizing them as the quality will be compromised and some stitches may be lost causing gaps, which is why these designs are not available for smaller hoops. Watch the series of videos on my Crazy Quilt blocks.

Back the pieces of silk dupion before you begin with Heat and Bond Lite, or something similar, to prevent fraying.
