An embroidered duvet cover inspired this elegant collection of stunning scrolls, curves and curlicues. There is always a purpose behind the creation of each one of my collections, and for this one I was aiming at celebrating the curves in embroidery using a delicate soft colour palate. You might be surprised to learn that selecting the ideal colour scheme for these designs was the most significant challenge in their creation. The colours used are intentionally similar, as this contributes to the soft aesthetic I am aiming for. If you change the colours please avoid primary colours. I believe that dragonflies infuse embroidery with vibrant life but you may want to remove them which can be done easily in your embroidery software. Bearing in mind my inspiration for these designs, they are perfect for bedding, table linen and cushions. However the larger designs would grace the backs of jackets and the fronts of bags and custions!
