The Heartsease Collection

Viola tricolor is also known as Heartsease, and is such a dainty but delightful flower. A little smaller than the cultivated pansy my embroidered flowers reflect these little flowers that grow in profusion every year, lifting their smiling "faces" to brighten our days. I am most grateful to Kate, a member of my Embroidery group, who made the suggestion for the name of this collection. "My Grandmother always called the little yellow and purple violas Heartsease, so that is what made me think of it." Some of these designs have been digitised in a unique way to allow greater flexibility. Check for details in the accompanying PDF.
