The Celtic Christmas Collection

This collection was a particularly interesting one for me to create, as I wanted to bring together two very different styles that I have always admired: the intricate beauty of Celtic knotwork and the delicate charm of traditional Christmas flowers and foliage.

Combining the flowing lines of Celtic designs with beautiful Hellebores, often known as Christmas roses, together with ivy, holly and tiny roses, was quite a challenge. I wanted each element to sit naturally alongside the others, creating something that felt both distinctive and harmonious, while retaining the elegance and detail that are so important to Graceful Embroidery.

As my very first Christmas collection, I was perhaps a little unsure how this unusual combination would be received. So you can imagine how delighted I was when these designs proved to be so popular! It was wonderful to discover that others loved this rather different interpretation of festive embroidery as much as I did.

Looking back, I think it is the combination of traditional Celtic artistry and beautiful seasonal flowers that gives this collection its special character. It offers something a little different from conventional Christmas embroidery, while still capturing the warmth and beauty of the festive season.
