This Father Christmas can be embroidered as a flat embroidery or as dimensional standing ornament. For this purpose, I recommend felt which will give sufficient support so he stands on his own. He comes in two sizes, 299mm x 161mm (11.38" x 6.34 and 270mm x 144mm" (10.5 x 5.7) and in a red and a cream version.As a rough guide, the larger version requires a 8" wide hoop but the smaller version requires only a 6" wide hoop. The flat version has been split for 240mm x 150mm hoops. The skirt wraps round to form a cone and the front and back upper sections are carefully sewn together after embroidering and sit on the top of that cone. I have tried to give as many variations as possible to enable you to create him. Apply faux fur trims around the base and the lower edge of the upper section.
