Jane’s White Work 4.
12 designs for 300 mm x 200 mm (12" by 8") hoops.
These white work designs reflect the hand embroidery with which Jane Austen would have been familiar in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century. During this Regency period ladies were ardent needle women, creating exquisite sculptured work in white. The high waisted dresses of this time were made of muslin and fine lawn. Machine embroidery can be very uniform, with each petal and leaf exactly the same but in this collection I have endeavoured to capture the diversity of hand work. Each leaf and petal is slightly different! There will be three versions of each design, for 30wt cotton, 40wt rayon and 60 wt cotton. Each gives a very different look.
(N.B. Most designs now will convert to all the usual formats. Check the PDFs in the Download tab above, for actual design sizes to confirm that you have the hoops to accomodate the designs.)
There are four sets of designs in the whole collection which can be purchased at a reduced rate.
