The Rosemaling Christmas Collection

Although I have called these designs Rosemaling Christmas, there are many non seasonal designs in the collection. After studying the various forms of this folk art which comes from Norway, I have tried to capture the look of the brush strokes that are usually done with oils on wood. Within this collection there are holly leaves and berries, snow covered pine leaves and cones, lillies and hellebores (Christmas roses) and these can be embroidered as dimensional flowers by prepraing the petals before hand, embroidering them on tulle and applying to your embroidery before the centres are embroidered.
