Beatrice Quilt Blocks 1.
11 designs for various hoops.
I advise that when using these blocks to make a quilt you embroider them with the batting underneath and one layer of a mesh type cut away stabilizer. I like to add a backing to silk dupion and Floriani's Dreamweave works perfectly. Cut your layers bigger than required as the embroidery will pull in to some degree. Add the backing fabric after the embroidery is complete with simple quilting stitches. Leave plenty of fabric around each block so they are not too crowded. Attach a sashing between each block as outlined in my series of blogs on quilt as you go! Due to the nature of these blocks I do not advise resizing them as the quality will be compromised and some stitches may be lost causing gaps, which is why these designs are not available for smaller hoops.
(N.B. Most designs now will convert to all the usual formats. Check the PDFs in the Download tab above, for actual design sizes to confirm that you have the hoops to accomodate the designs.)
